The Short Story of our Ministry

The production of "Pocket Crosses" has been in process since 2014, and was started as a means of providing employment for my son, who had some disabilities that made it difficult for him to find employment in the open market. But he had an interest in woodworking and being around woodworking equipment. Small power tools were used to set up a safe shop along with jigs and other original tooling to make crosses of various sizes and not just pocket crosses.

It did not take long to realize that my son had no interest in this endeavor, Christ Centered Symbols, but by that time, the idea was so deeply rooted within me that there was no turning back, and no denying that this was God inspired. In fact, a spiritual encounter took place that confirmed that this was to be done, and in a specific way that would include a blessing upon the crosses that were produced. After that encounter, there was only one way to go...UP!! Guidance was sought at every step and it was forthcoming.

On June 21, 2019, a letter went to twelve men, requesting that they join in what was being formalized into a ministry. We now have a growing group of men and women who have joined hands and hearts to move "The Pocket Cross Ministry" forward. We have set our goals high because the Kingdom deserves it, and we as God's creations, need to be reminded daily of Whose we are and how we can best serve and relate to our fellow brothers and sisters around the world.

As Jesus repeated the greatest commandment, we seek to fulfil it through this ministry. By producing and distributing "Pocket Crosses from the Heart", we will be arming God's army and seeking new recruits along the way. Paul said in I Corinthians 1:18, "To those who believe, the cross represents the power of God". And, at the cross and with the cross God invested His power in us who choose to believe. We simply need to pick up our cross up daily, and at least once every day, express our gratitude by stating "Thank you Jesus". This simple disciple releases the blessings that God intends for us to experience. He gave us His very best, so we could truly know His LOVE and share it with the world around us. History is made every day.
